Abstract
Acid violence against women is one of the most burning but less emphasized human right violence in Bangladesh. Incidences of acid violence against women are rising alarmingly and widespread in the country. The present study aims to understand the sufferings of the acid burnt women survivors in family and social life those who avail re-integration or rehabilitative services from different organizations. It is found that most of victims belong to lower and lower middle class family of the village community and the nature of sufferings are physical, economic, social and psychological. The negative attitude of the family and society, paucity of the existing services (such as- medical, legal, rehabilitation, etc.) are the liable factors for their sufferings and mainstreaming problem for them.
