Abstract
Book Review: Super dimensions in globalisation and education, edited by David R. Cole and Christine Woodrow, Singapore, Springer, 2016, ISBN 978-981-10-0310-3. This book not only makes a valuable contribution to existing conversations on globalisation and education but also explores the topic through the hitherto unused lens of superdiversity and supercomplexity. These two notions stem from the work of Vertovec (2007) and Barnett (2000), respectively and are positioned as super dimensions, an understanding of which could help counter the forces that bedevil our globalised society, particularly the theory and practice of education. It is common knowledge that the advent of globalisation has resulted in an exodus of migrants and refugees for greener pastures, thriving trade between countries, increased capital and investments, advanced information technologies and free flow of knowledge.
