Abstract

Book review: Supporting Women After Domestic Violence, Hilary Abrahams, London and Philadelphia, Jessica Kingsley Publishers, 2007, ISBN 9781843104315. Women's refuges are a vital component in the community response to domestic violence, offering places of safety for women and children who have left violent homes. Although not claiming that this is the only necessary response to domestic violence, the role of women's refuges is the focus of this book.
