Abstract

The project and its website https://www.caresearch.com.au/TEL/ are known as Talking End of Life (TEL) …with people with intellectual disability. The project purpose was to adapt the offline Dying to Talk teaching toolkit into a free online resource. Dying to Talk (http://sydney.edu.au/health-sciences/cdrp/projects/community-living-staff.shtml) is an evidence-based teaching toolkit for face-to-face small-group delivery to disability staff. It gives staff the tools to teach people with intellectual disability to understand and plan for dying and death. However, designed only face-to-face delivery, it has limited reach and sustainability. The TEL project is the results of the adaptation of Dying to Talk, and offers a world-first, freely available, and sustainable online resource.
