Abstract

![CDATA[The mechanical behaviour of Hollo-Bolts at ambient temperature has been reported in the literature. But no test data is available for them at elevated temperatures. This paper presents a series of tests carried out to investigate the tensile and shear behaviour of Hollo-Bolts at different target temperatures (20, 400, 600, and 800C). The test results indicate that 400C is a critical temperature for Hollo-Bolts. When the temperature exceeds 400C, the tensile and shear strengths of Hollo-Bolts decrease significantly. Finite element models are developed and verified by the test results.]]
