    Abstract

    ![CDATA[This paper summarises the tests performed on welded cross beams joints made up of Rectangular Hollow Sections (RHS), channel and angle sections. Four different types of connections were tested: RHS-RHS, RHS-Angle, RHS-Channel and Channel-Channel connections. The specimens were subjected to constant stress amplitude cyclic load. The basic load that was applied to the specimens is cyclic bending load in the bottom member. A total of 35 specimens were tested among the RHS-RHS, RHS-Angle, RHS-Channel and Channel-Channel cross-beam connections. The paper summarises the failure modes, SCFs and resultant fatigue S-N data obtained. Existing fatigue design S-N curves are recommended based on the deterministic method for the classification method.]]
