The artist's viewpoint : Asian-Australian resonances

    Research output: Contribution to journalArticle

    Abstract

" Despite being an outsider to the Asiatic tradition, my sonic imagination has been triggered by resources of that tradition as well as those from a European sonic and visual heritage. My engagement with Asia stems from my life: collaborative friendship and Pacific place. At a higher level 1 see my outer experiences as a source for an inner imaginative life in sound but resonant with personal identity; the 'engagement' with Asia has encouraged valuing the spiritual resonance of that sound."
