Abstract

Despite the common misconception played out in the media, corporate governance, or, more importantly, good corporate governance, extends well beyond the boardroom. Governments and regional forums such as APEC have an important role to play in defi ning acceptable standards of corporate governance and in providing the infrastructure within which these standards are monitored, enforced and upheld.
