Abstract
The Blue Ice Cave for piano and toy piano was influenced by the photograph of a blue ice cave in Antarctica taken by Geoff Paul. The piece explores the toy piano as a colour which highlights and enhances aspects of the piano writing. I would like to visit Antarctica and experience the cold beauty of the continent for myself.
