Abstract

This article describes the care of the Children's python (Antaresia childreni; Fig.1) It includes information on housing, feeding, handling, as well as the general health care of these animals. The information presented is derived from Standard Operating Procedures which have been co-written by the authors. It is hoped that the information presented herewith may assist novice Animal Technicians whom may be charged with the responsibilities for caring for these species in an animal research facility or a zoological setting.
