The complexity of the object of consent: some Australian stories

Tim Rowse

Research output: Chapter in Book / Conference PaperChapter

    Abstract

The essay is largely devoted to the following question: to what have the subjects of consent been consenting(or not consenting)? By using some Australian stories to historicize the object of consent, the author hopes to suggest why the substance of consent is a matter of historical and not merely theoretical contingency.
