    Abstract

    Presents literary criticism which explores John Barth's novel "The Floating Opera" and its companion "The End of the Road" which exited debate concerning the dialectic of nihilism. Intention of the novels; Discussion on a complex interlacing of aesthetic ideas and Nietzschean themes in Todd Andrew's narrative; Views on Todd's theory and demonstrations of animality.
