The Correspondence

    Abstract

The Correspondence was written in response to a suite of instrumental pieces called Ten Days by Australian composer Luke Plumb (Shooglenifty). The poems take as their starting points the titles of each work from Ten Days, and are an address to the idea of address. They stage a conversation between musical and poetical modes of lyricism, partly by 'setting' music to poetry.
