Abstract

A subgroup of neonates with isolated congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) has been reported. The visceral herniation in these neonates is smaller, but their pulmonary functions are significantly better than those diagnosed with CDH. We report two such cases, which illustrate the dilemma in sharing the diagnosis of such unexpected/late occurrence of CDH despite "normal" antenatal ultrasounds.
