    Abstract

![CDATA[The E-Novation Project focused on development of a new collaborative information platform, drawing on research from a diverse range of contributors, and a previous ANZMAC Special Session on Web 2.0 and Marketing. Although a variety of new and emerging themes were highlighted in Pattinson & Low (2011), by early 2011, Social Media was literally developing a life of its own, heading toward becoming the main centre for marketing conversation and activity by mid 2010s. Key Web 2.0 principles are extended in this paper for social media developments. Issues and challenges discussed include marketing conversations, faster ideation to delivery times, redefining marketing teams, and tracking social media information.]]
