    Abstract

    With biomedical engineering increasingly reflecting the integrated and complex nature of healthcare, technology, and research, for many students the future of biomedical engineering education will potentially be transdisciplinary. Such an educational approach would transcend traditional academic disciplinary boundaries, drawing from diverse fields like biology, engineering, computer science, data analytics, and even the social sciences to address multifaceted future healthcare challenges.In this topical debate, Turgut Batuhan Baturalp and Selim Bozkurt debate the future of bioengineering.
