Abstract
On 14–15 July 2025, researchers, publishers, funders, librarians, and policymakers gathered at the Royal Society in London to explore the future of scientific publishing. The Royal Society meeting highlighted both the central place that publishing has in disseminating knowledge and the pressures created by its relationship with career advancements.
