Abstract
Guest editorial: In a global environment of Islamophobia and pervasive fears about violent extremism, there is a need for research that focuses on the everyday lives of Muslims and their lived experiences in the Western world. The papers in this special issue look askew at the preponderance of scholarship that has focused on the difficulties facing Muslims living in Muslim minority countries.
