Abstract

There has never been a more exciting time to be involved in the rearing and education of children, or a scarier one. The same dynamic movements and technologies that give us unprecedented scope for creating and sharing knowledge also create unprecedented risks and uncertainties. It sometimes feels like children, their parents and children’s professionals are living in a huge natural experiment – for which nobody received ethics clearance.
