Research output: Chapter in Book / Conference PaperChapter

Abstract

This chapter will describe the features of the Chinese medicine system, philosophical underpinnings and theories of Chinese medicine that guide practice, how Chinese medicine understands both the functions of the human body and causal factors of disease, and what goes into the clinical decision-making process. Chinese medicine places a strong emphasis on the prevention of illness, thus a brief introduction to this topic is also included.
