Abstract

Why Generation is a panel discussion series aimed at engaging the youth of Sydney. Each episode of the 10 part series is researched, produced and presented by students from the University of Western Sydney. With debate on issues ranging from politics to fashion, and weekly explorations into Y Generation stereotypes, the program has something to offer viewers from across the spectrum. Why Generation acts as a platform for UWS students to look at issues critically and to express their ideas in an always intelligent and often comical way. Whether or not you agree with the opinions, you will be enthralled as the panelists debate the issues fiercely and passionately, stirring controversy and challenging agendas. You might even find your family and friends carrying on the debate long after the program ends. 10 episodes, 24 minutes long. Produced, directed and written by Rachel Bentley.
