    Abstract

    This article presents an analysis of John Milton's "Paradise Lost" and his treatment of language. It describes Milton's search for a language which can describe nature with clarity and accuracy. The article draws a comparison between Milton and the writer James Joyce. An examination of Adam in "Paradise Lost" is provided.
