Abstract
Threadgoldite, (Al(UO2)2(P04)2(OH).8H20), has been identified from several uranium deposits in the South Alligator Valley uranium field, 220 km south-east of Darwin in the Northern Territory. Threadgoldite was confirmed by electron microprobe analysis, water determination and X-ray diffraction. This is the second confirmed world occurrence of threadgoldite.
