Abstract
Through Shadows traces the experience of moving swiftly through the constantly changing, often fragmented, repetition of shadows. The idea came from driving along summer roads in north Poland lined with plane trees on both sides. The trees were planted to provide shelter for horse and cart and driver but the EU has mandated that the trees be cut down as they are a danger to motorists. This would be a huge pity.
