Abstract

A newly developed green whisker-reinforced cementitious composite reinforced with short steel and bagasse fibers and its processing method are presented in this chapter, and the toughening mechanism of the composite is analyzed. The mechanical properties of the new green composite, including compressive strength, Young's modulus, flexural strength, and tensile strength were tested, and the testing method and results are presented. The potential applications of the new composite and future research trends are also introduced.
