Abstract
This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of TENS on the basis of its frequency and acupoints, in comparison with placebo, no treatment, and other medical treatments for primary dysmenorrhoea. This is a protocol for a new review which will replace the current published review: Proctor M, Farquhar C, Stones W, He L, Zhu X, Brown J. Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation for primary dysmenorrhoea. Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews 2002, Issue 1. Art. No.: CD002123. DOI: 10.1002/14651858.CD002123.
