Abstract
"Education is the backbone of a nation." A country's social, economic, and political progress hinges on a robust education system. The quality of education shapes the norms, values, and foundations of its citizens they receive. Recognising this, the constitution of Bangladesh (Article 17) enshrines education as a fundamental human right. We are currently in an era when significant reforms, such as economic restructuring and political decentralisation, are being discussed across all sectors. Education, the cornerstone of a nation's progress, should be at the forefront of this agenda. Unfortunately, the interim government has overlooked forming a reform commission for this crucial sector. The sacrifices made by students during the July Revolution 2024 highlight the urgent and immediate need for significant reform in this sector. The educational sector in Bangladesh faces severe problems and challenges. Despite the tragic events of July 2024, the appointment and management within the sector continue to follow previous fascistic trends and characteristics.
