Abstract
This chapter explores the application of the place pedagogies framework, outlined in the Introduction to this book, in a project about water in the dry lands of the Murray-Darling Basin: Bubbles on the Surface: a place pedagogy of the Narran Lake. In this project we established a team of Indigenous and non-Indigenous researchers, including the Indigenous artists and cultural knowledge holders named in the acknowledgements as co-authors of this chapter. We asked: How can places teach us about water? and How can we incorporate their pedagogical possibilities into educational processes to ensure the protection of people and ecosystems?
