Abstract
We join together to pay tribute to the work and legacy of Dr. Ruth Bright as a pioneer of music therapy in Australia and around the world. Our friend and colleague Dr. Ruth Bright passed away on 20 May, 2022. We seek to highlight her personal and professional life and contributions by combining our memories with reflections both in the words of Ruth herself, and other colleagues who have interviewed and written about Ruth’s life and work. In doing so, we outline the scope of her many interests, and through her service and publications we acknowledge her massive impact on the building of the music therapy profession both in Australia and around the world.
