Abstract
Infestation with the sandflea Tunga penetrans, or "chigoe flea", is rarely encountered inAustralia, but has been noted inchildren recently arrivedfrom Central-East Africa. There have been only two previous Australian case reports of this parasitic infection, both inadult travellers returning from Africa.
