Abstract

Despite numerous studies on bullying, it remains a common phenomenon in organisations. There is a gap between the theoretical understanding of the subject and practical curtailing of the incidences of bullying. One area to look at is the more common methodology of gathering bullying data, upon which the importance of the topic is formed. The purpose of this conceptual paper is to argue that the use of autoethnography is a credible methodology in studying and analysing the occurrences of workplace bullying. Finally the aim of this paper is to convince the researchers to use their personal experiences in order to add rigour to their analysis of workplace bullying.
