Abstract

![CDATA[Following its positive performance outcomes in a state-wide survey, team leaders of the Queensland Cancer Control Analysis Team used discovery interviews to understand these favourable results. The empirical materials were inductively and deductively analysed by researchers of positive organisational scholarship in healthcare who drew on Bright’s (2009) comparison of depreciating and appreciating organisational dynamics. A framework was devised comprised of appreciative, depreciative, and hybrid dynamics. The hybrid dynamics represent a departure from Bright’s framework, while the other two dynamics were considerably expanded. The framework enables practitioners and scholars to examine, understand, and promote positive organisational experiences through both research and practice.]]
