Abstract

The collection of images from which this exhibition came about as a result, have been painstakingly gathered by Dr Pedram Khosronejad over a period of several years of research which spanned three continents. The aims of the exhibition and the discussions it intended to facilitate were neither prurient nor voyeuristic, and though we are in fact looking at, and looking in at, what were, in many cases, intimately private depictions, we are not doing so for the sake of titillation but rather for the sake of exploration, explanation and further discussion.
