Uplink Modeling of Backscatter Communications Over UAV Aided Networks

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Modelling and performance analysis of uplink communications over unmanned-aerial-vehicle (UAV) aided networks in the presence of backscatters are offered in this work. The UAV is acted as a mobile source to initiate transmissions with a ground user C. In the presence of a backscatter receiver B and its transmitter A, interference does impact on the performance of uplink transmissions between C and UAV. The severity of line-of-sight (LoS) and non-LoS conditions on outage probability, deployed as a performance indicator, is examined in this work. Because of the proposed consideration of LoS conditions, mathematically-unavoidable infinite summations are deployed and shown to converge for a finite number of terms, which shows their practicality. Simulation has been deployed to validate the proposed work.
