Abstract
![CDATA[International Management and Development is a new major within the Bachelor of Business (Management) at the University of Western Sydney. This major was introduced during a review and rewriting of courses and programs in the School of Management and other Schools in the College of Law and Business, in 2001. At the time there was recognition among teaching staff that the School needed to internationalise its management degrees. Two ways of achieving internationalisation of the curriculum are through introducing international management issues within various existing subjects or units and by introducing new, specifically internationally oriented or focussed units. A third way, which may encompass revisions to existing units as well as the introduction of new units, is the introduction of a major or sub-major, by which general management students and others can have an international management specialisation. In an effort to provide a greater impetus and structure to our internationalisation of the curricum, the School developed the International Management and Development Major.]]
