The overall aim of the project is to improve and sustain quality of life of 3,500 young people aged 13-25 years in Makindye and Nakawa divisions of Kampala city by 2017 by increasing employment potential/employability of young people, accessibility to sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR) information and services, protection against abuse and exploitation of and increased level of civic awareness among young people. World Vision Australia, in collaboration with World Vision Uganda, commissioned a baseline survey. The aim of the baseline survey is to provide a starting point of baseline information from which to measure progress and attribute change over time, as per the indicators of project goal, specific outcomes and expected outputs specified in the project document and the project log-frame. That is, the baseline sought to generate informative and analytical facts on the social, economic, physical and other contextual factors which will influence how the project’s strategies may lead to project outcomes.
