Abstract

It is unclear how useful interactive case studies are for nontraditional nursing students when preparing for their first clinical practicum. From a survey, 717 first year nursing students reported high levels of usefulness of the interactive case studies, were more likely to have high task value and self-efficacy, have English as an additional language, and lower Grade Point Averages. These students may benefit from online interactive case studies to prepare for their first clinical practicum.
