Abstract
Research Objectives Ӣ To understand the value of the Vinnies CEO Sleepout beyond fundraising dollars. Ӣ To understand implications of this value, in relation to retaining and recruiting CEOs. Ӣ To explore ideas for maximising revenue and impact from future Vinnies CEO Sleepouts. Recommendations: To preserve and grow the initiative, it is recommended that organisers recognise the unique skills, talents and abilities of participating CEOs - work with them, and engage them further. They are an incredibly powerful asset, with access to employees/members, vast networks and considerable resources. The CEOs are not a homogenous group. This study has identified six categories of CEOs, and it is recommended that different strategies are applied to each of the six segments in order to maximise their potential value. Finally, by dismissing the CEOs who are willing to engage, and soliciting them only for their funds, the organisers risk further decline and impact of the initiative.
