Abstract

Endophytic fungi create volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which are mixtures of carbon-dependent chemicals. The utilization of VOCs as pesticide alternatives and as a biofuel source has gotten a lot of interest. This chapter reviews recent research on VOCs' origin and chemical properties, with a focus on their bioactivities against different varieties of agricultural and human infections. The importance of VOCs as bioactive agents has been underlined in several studies. Nonetheless, the use of VOCs in biofumigation and the eradication of most human methods require further research.
