Abstract

Recently, hybrid clustering has attracted a great attention in the literature. This paper investigates a topology-based merge technique for combining partitioning and hierarchical clustering. The proposed merge technique enhances the efficiency of partitioning clustering while preserving the effectiveness of hierarchical clustering. It complements those clusterings' weaknesses and amplifies their strengths.
