The purpose of this research-in-progress paper is to construct a Semantic Web evolution model to present how the Semantic Web may evolve, and consequently identify the evolution stages for e-business transformation process. Through the mapping of the Semantic Web technology with the e-business operations in an integrated business environment, organisations could position themselves in the appropriate stage of the model, and determine the strategy for further development.
