Abstract

By now, readers will be well aware of the importance of the MeE Framework to the work of the Teachers for a Fair Go project. As a brief reminder from Chapter 2, the key elements are: classroom learning experiences conceptualised as high cognitive/high affective/high operative; the notion of the 'insider classroom' expressed through the areas of: student self-assessment; student community of reflection; teacher inclusive conversations and teacher feedback; engaging message in terms of: knowledge, ability, control, place and voice; individual support strategies. Now, clearly these are aspirational (in the sense of describing ideal situations) but they are so in different ways. Classrooms will always have some measure of cognitive/affective/operative experiences.
