Abstract

Gerontology nursing is undoubtedly a specialty. Each nursing practice setting has its own unique requirements. Nurses develop varying skills sets within these areas, making them experts in what they do. This article outlines the main practice features I believe make gerontology nursing a specialty practice – every nurse working in the aged-care sector should confidently articulate these.
