    Abstract

The study examines the effects of various workplace factors such as work environment, insomnia and emotions on job satisfaction. Using self-administered structured questionnaire, data were collected from ten different manufacturing firms. Results revealed significant positive relationship between work environment, joviality and attentiveness and job satisfaction while negative between insomnia, hostility and fatigue and jobs satisfaction with regard to managerial employees (MEs). In contrast, no relationship reported between insomnia, fatigue and job satisfaction with regard to non-managerial employees (NMEs). The findings suggest that incorporating these workplace factors may provide manufacturing firms with the potential to elevate job satisfaction. Both theoretical and practical implications are discussed.
