Abstract

Working It Out includes: a performed ethnography (play); a facilitator’s guide; and questions that promote critical discussion and reflection with participants. It is designed to be used by academics with pre-service teachers undertaking teaching degrees and in professional development courses for teachers and other in-school professionals (counsellors, psychologists, nurses etc.). The objective is to open up critical discussions around homophobia and transphobia in order to enhance participants’ knowledge, skills development and reflective practice.
