Abstract
The Aboriginal people of Australia have been using bush medicines for thousands of years. Individual communities have selected medicinal plants based on their needs, convenience and experience. Because of this, bush medicines differ between or even within dialect groups, with different plants or preparations used for the same condition, and a single plant used for many applications.
