Abstract
Much has been written about the theory and practice of youth work, and there has been a particular focus on the youth worker/young person interaction. This article, however, focuses on the neglected area of youth workers themselves and how they are affected by stress resulting from their choice of occupation. It provides some insights into how youth workers and their organisations can identify and minimise much of this stress.
