This is a creative arts-based research project using visual art to explore and make visible the impact of trauma. The project is contextualised through trauma and art therapy literature as well as contemporary art. Visual art making from the researcher/ author is a significant part of this project and it includes multiple images that were created as part of the research process. It aims to demonstrate that visual arts can make visible the embodiment of trauma symptoms, with a view to complementing existing literature, as well as broaden the methods of how information on trauma is communicated.
